Before I had officially ordered anything, the estimated trade in value for my car was between $17,800 and $19,500, which was pretty competitive compared to carmax ($17,600) and carvana ($19,000) I’m in NYS, so I do get a tax benefit, so if Tesla is fairly close, I will definitely go with their offer plus the ease of trade

As I understand it, Tesla's trade-in value estimates prior to delivery are not set in any way and can drop significantly for any reason at the time of delivery This makes me hesitant to put in a non-refundable order deposit when the trade-in value is essentially undetermined
